It is said that the inhabitants of the Island extracted oil from wild olive trees in order to use it as fuel for their torches.

The Spanish domination, later, introduced experts in grafting and some olive varieties that are still being grown. The 

Piedmonteses, at a later time, boosted and incentivized its production.

Natural cultivations, native local varieties, particular attention given to the harvest and the milling give birth to a high-quality Sardinian oil.

Olive tree groves treated with traditional cultivation methods, therefore typical Sardinian olives, minimal management of the land, absence of irrigation and rare pruning for a top-quality production.
