Cannonau di Sardegna DOC Riserva is a red wine that elegantly expresses the personality of the island's iconic grape variety, combining the richness of the fruit with the depth provided by time and aging in wood. It is born from Cannonau grapes grown in the Is Crabilis vineyard in Ussana, between 150 and 180 metres above sea level, on calcareous soils. The 45-year-old vines help define the identity of a wine with a strong character, capable of conveying the profound connection between the Sardinian territory and its winemaking tradition.

Winemaking involves fermenting the destemmed grapes in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 21 °C, for 40 days, with fulling sessions whose frequency is modulated according to the vintage. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wine rests for three months in steel, before continuing its journey with a 12-month aging in 3,000-liter oak barrels. A process that allows Cannonau to develop greater complexity and balance, preserving the expression of the grape variety.

On the nose it stands out for its vibrant notes of ripe red fruits, which outline an intense and inviting aromatic profile. On the palate it is dry and soft, with good structure and persistence that pleasantly accompanies the tasting. The balance between the fruity component and the character conferred by the refinement makes this harmonious and enveloping red, ideal for those who appreciate wines with personality, an authentic expression of Sardinian viticulture.
