The abbamele is a decoction of honey and pollen with antibiotic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antimycotic proprieties.
One of the most ancient and typical products of the Island’s gastronomy, the Abbamele is obtained with the prolonged cooking of the honeycomb containing honey and pollen with the addition of lemon or orange zest. Used in the local cuisine since always to add flavour to first courses or to make sweets. The Abbamele is an energetic product, useful to people who play sports, to young and old people and recovering people.-
